Perfect works part. I just bought a used 2008 Volvo C30, this part was completely gone, I put it in and now my car had the option to shift manually. After I removed the waterfall center stack, shift knob and pads, the original piece broke 1/2 and split. I vacuumed up all the little bits and pieces and the magnet that allows the automator's manual selector switch to work. Be sure to install this smooth side up and the magnetic sliding part on the driver's side. You can find instructions on how to remove the center console on youtube, except for the C30 you will need to remove the 4 screws holding the center console to slide it back far enough to access the bottom 2 screws of the center waterfall. Heap. everything else is just loosened with a small plastic internal tool or a small flat head screwdriver.
