I recently got a bike with Look pedals and decided to dust off my old cleated boots and try them again. The cleats I had were last changed around 2000 and while they still worked they didn't inspire confidence. Oddly enough, the soles of my boots were a big concern - I had to re-glue them as they both came loose from the back of the boot to the heel! The new boots arrived quickly and left with no problems. . The hardware is better, using a hex wrench instead of a flathead screwdriver, and the bar itself feels more solid. I've noticed the laminated surfaces and so far have been pleased with the much stronger contact they offer me. later my pedals step.
