These have a bit of shine that I did not expect. It's not overt, but a subtle spandexy shine once on the body. Also, they create a sausage leg look. So, would be best worn under a very, very long sweater (dress length) with boots. Maybe you could do yoga in them, but for me, these are not flexible enough.too binding. Not my favorite legging, and hate that I spent the money on them when I could have purchased cheap leggings from the drug store and been happier. Generally, I think Spanx products are over rated and over priced.
