This tensioner worked great as a replacement for an OEM tensioner that failed on my 2012 Suzuki SX4. I pulled the tensioner out by unscrewing the bolt from the original tensioner to remove it. This allows the tensioner to be removed without pulling out the water pump. I removed the pulley from the new tensioner with a vise and wrapped it with a rag to avoid damaging the tensioner. After installing the tensioner, I tightened both bolts and then installed the pulley. I used an OEM washer instead of the thinner, smaller washer that came with this tensioner. To tighten it I used a rag wrapped breaker button placed between the water pump pulley and the idler pulley to hold it in place. When tightening the pulley. Overall this product has performed well and is currently maintaining proper belt tension.
