I love this trash can. At first I was a bit surprised that the pedal only works to open and then I have to close it by hand. But since you're changing a diaper, you still have to wash your hands afterwards, so touching the trash can isn't that big of a deal. When you close the lid, the sachet curls up and seals shut to prevent odors from escaping. And the odor-inhibiting insert on the lid also helps to neutralize odours. Even when my daughter started making smellier poo with the introduction of solids, this junk still did a great job of keeping the odors out. The bin itself came with a long tubular bag that you tie at the bottom after each change. . This is quite convenient, but later we switched to a single bag change because it is more profitable. Both work fine. However, I would like to point out that under no circumstances should you try to overfill your bag so that you have to force the lid shut. This spoils the rotation mechanism. A year later, the rotation feature stopped working. What's actually quite amazing is that it has withstood abuse for up to a year. Now we have a new one and we don't overfill it. I'm sure this will be until my daughter goes potty.
