I use this for Tai Chi practice. It is already tearing a little, but that is ok. I'm more concerned with the action, how smoothly it opens and closes. I've used bamboo and metal fans. the metal tore up my fingers, and the bamboo sticks. But this plastic one opens and closes like butter. Very nice.
