In no uncertain terms, this has a high-quality sound. Branded "Sonivsky" is what I'm going to call it. smooth and velvety with a low, gentle bass; slightly enhanced. I already owned a pair of wired headphones by SONY, so that was a useful point of reference. It's a good idea to try out a few different models of headphones before making a purchase. The auditory experience is similar to the visual and gustatory ones. There are both sour and sweet varieties. But, in general, I agree with the consensus that the sound quality is satisfactory. Apple Professional, Sennheiser Momentum, Bengami Bioplay 2.0, and SONY were the final four contenders. Bengi had the most beautiful sound - I really liked it, light but quiet, and the most expensive for the price, while Apple came in last in both sound and price. The Senkhovs accurately reproduce German without embellishment (the sound suited me best of all), but I wanted active noise reduction. Sony won out after I weighed all the factors I'd set out to consider. The only snag is that there are sometimes temporary disruptions. I haven't quite figured out the connection yet. Occasionally there are no hiccups in the playback. With any luck, the firmware update has "completed" this. In a separate argument, I will support active noise cancellation. Really, it does what it claims to do. While there won't be complete silence, low-frequency noise has been effectively mitigated. High frequency is even more problematic. An operating engine and heater fan were audible in the car. Indeed, I did a little investigating. The results are outstanding! Then, when he got home, he turned on the water faucet and listened... poorly. This sound can be heard. My lovely wife made use of a hair dryer, and the results were fantastic. Having music playing in the background didn't disturb me at all. The price tag and the potential for exploration of the various locales were also likely contributing factors. They are "clickable" in that respect. However, I've had my fill of playing. And now I'm thinking Apple's intuitive interface and well-rounded mobile environment would be a better fit for me. They have adequate acoustics to please the vast majority of listeners. Last but not least: if you're experiencing any kind of ear-related health issue. Unfortunately, you can't use plugs. That flame burnt me.
