This sewing kit is a good kit to have around for minor repairs. I bought it so that I would have needles and thread to fix buttons and small tears in my clothing, and the color selection is fairly complete. The only problem is the box containing the kit is cheep and doesn't stay closed. The box works fine if you are going to put the kit in a drawer somewhere, but if you plan to use the kit for travel, the contents are going to end up all over your bag.

Plenty of thread and a pretty good variety, pretty good quality needles, but the case is almost useless. Bought it for emergency patch ups, but if you plan to do the same then find another way to store it. The case is extremely cheap and pretty much won't stay closed. Have only opened mine a few times and the hinges are on the verge of breaking,

This is a very standard travel sewing kit. It comes with the thimble, too, which I don't believe you can see from the picture. Two needles are included. You might want to put a rubber band around it, if you are really going to travel with it, rather than keep it at home for the occasional button loss or fabric tear, as the container does not stay closed very well. Serves its purpose for what I needed.

Everything you need for that lost button or hole in the pants. Bought two to be sure I got to keep one of them.wrong! My wife took one and my daughter in law was happy getting the other one.I will now have to order 2 more, 1 for the office and one for travel.

Not the fastest to respond with the major cost, if you can call it a major cost, being shipping. All in all a really good buy. I managed to salvage some of my favorite pants with the aid of this kit. I gave 4 stars only because there are 12 colors of thread and no brown. I was looking for a dark brown so black did the trick. If I use it again it will double it's value.

I actually needed this for some home repairs (usually I let the females handle all my sewing needs) however sometimes those females can be busy so I guess I had to get into this home sewing thing (just emergency manual hand repairs) and this kit is a decent though not perfect start.For the cost I think it's worthwhile,no big ticket item here,no big complaints but the hinged plastic case is pretty cheap (poor quality) and could get broken easily though (won't last long).Like it says on the label

Item was just as described. I travel alot and always seem to need to replace a button or repair a hem. This is perfect for that!

Our 16 year-old son spent a little over a week in Europe with his high school band. Attempting to pack lightly to make room for the musical instruments, my son took only one set of "performance" clothing with him on the trip. It seemed prudent to include a sewing kit just in case there was a mishap with the "performance" clothing. Of course my son rolled his eyes at me when I handed him the kit to take on the trip. storage box has some problems when arrived, I did not start to use the sewing kit, so no comment about that. Sewing Project Kits!

This is a great little sewing kit. It has a lot of "common" colors. If you have just a "little" bit of sewing/repairs to do, this is very handy.

Each of the six boxed sewing kits purchased were damaged and taped shut. These are for charity gift boxes and we don't have time to exchange, otherwise I would return them.

I thought this was going to be sewing kit I had years ago with normal spools of thread, but it is not, they are small spools of thread and the plastic hinges on the box were broken when I got it so it will not stay shut. It does have what you need for small sewing jobs, but is the same quality as the one I had 10 years ago that looked the same.

I repaired a number of buttons already with this Kit. Its nothing special but it gets the job done. The included needle is kind of large so Make sure you have your own.
