Substituted another gamer for ExtremeGamer. The new motherboard has improved acoustics and drivers and does away with the PCI expansion slot. In overall, I am pleased with the card; the sound it generates is satisfactory. However, some forum members have suggested that I sell my speakers and an ae-7 or 9 for $3000. Unlike the previous ExtremeGamer software, the Command program encourages experimentation with sound processing. I didn't like it since (in exclusive mode) only one application can use the ASIO driver at a time, when before I could listen to music while browsing YouTube in the aimp. It would be interesting to see whether there are any differences between this and the Z series. The asking price of 11600 is too much.
