As the title suggests, the RJ45 plugs are made of pleasantly soft silicone and fit perfectly into the Ethernet port. The USB-A port covers are hard plastic/silicone and fit very snugly and perfectly, but are difficult to remove from some ports and as the material is harder I don't think water resistance would be its strong point. HDMI covers can also be thrown away. It's a nice soft silicone material, they fit very loosely in the HDMI connectors and will fall out if the object is moved. They protect something that never moves from dust to a certain extent, but I wouldn't call them VERY dustproof and NEVER call them waterproof. To sum it up, I love ethernet port covers as do USB port covers (water resistance not yet determined) and HDMI covers which I only considered as goodies to give away. I would recommend this product for the price.
