I have to say that they smelled strongly of chemicals or something similar from the packaging. I was a bit disappointed but once washed and dried they smelled nice and were so soft. They are for my very tall 11 year old grandson and I bought two pairs in size 14-16. I was afraid they were too long but they fit perfectly. I must add that they are neither too light nor too heavy making them ideal for all temperatures in the home.
