I wouldn't normally consider a laptop sleeve. I mean it's a soft bag right? However, this case fared better in many ways. The main advantage is that there are pockets. Pockets in main pocket, pockets in zip pocket. Pockets in Pockets. This means I can always put the things I want in the main compartments of the bag. Things that I need SOME of the time (travel, presentations, etc.) can be stored in a zipped pocket that I can add as needed. In real life I usually keep my zip bag closed and often find myself needing things that I thought were optional. For travel, this bag has several advantages. First, the handle is on the long end. It seems a bit odd at first, but I've noticed that it now aligns vertically with my body instead of sticking out in front and behind me. This is a real advantage when overcoming crowds or bottlenecks such as airplane aisles. A zippered pocket is another great travel perk. For example, on a fairly long flight, I had headphones and an extender/splitter for me and my wife, a power bank, and movies/shows downloaded for offline viewing with Netflix and Prime. We had our own mini theater. When we got to the hotel, the same bag contained my charger, cables to charge my laptop and phones, MiFi so I didn't have to mess with the hotel portal, and other small travel gadgets that basically took care of everything. our electronics need. Another advantage is that with thin laptops I can put both together in one bag if necessary. The only minor issue I found is that it can be awkward to close and remove the accessory pouch. But it works. Hopefully this will be a design improvement in the future. All in all a great laptop bag. If you're spending hundreds to thousands of dollars on a laptop, this bag will help you use it more efficiently and productively.
