This shoe has a synthetic sole. This makes them pretty light. They're not as slippery at the bottom as some others I've tried. Not much protector either. Strangely, these shoes have very good arch support. Often these shoes do not have arch support. Not with these. There is nice padding on the insole and around the ankle. They are not lace-up, instead they have a "bungee cord". So there is no way to tighten it unless you tie a knot in the bungee cord. mesh upper. These shoes are made in China and sold on Revain by a Chinese company. At the current starting price of $35, they're about twice as expensive as they should be. . . but. . .General. . .I like her.
