Good - It's made of durable plastic with strong metal elements where needed. The bearings have not been lubricated, so less dirt can get into them. The line winding handle has a spring mechanism that allows you to fix the spool. The line that goes into the reel seems strong enough to handle all but the largest of kites. Cons: The overall size of the grip is smaller than I would like, although I can still squeeze my hand without too much discomfort. This would be great for most women and children, but if you have large hands I would consider getting something larger. Also, the clip used to attach the kite to the kite is small. I would definitely change it if you want to fly a big kite. (I personally used a small carabiner.) All in all a great product.
