We are very pleased with this pet door. We actually had to re-chip our cat as the one she had wasn't communicating with the door sensor. After we did that, the door worked as it should. Our cat is wild and was afraid of the sensor; I spent about 15 minutes teaching her how to walk through the door and then she mastered it. We value electronic security as we have cats in the neighborhood who love to bully our cat and steal her food; this solved that problem without us having to complain or evict our neighbors. Cats stay cats. With this understanding, we have to solve problems. Also the customer service was great in helping us solve our chip problem.
