7 year old loves this! Helps her when she wakes up in the middle of the night and is frozen in fear for no reason. We needed an extension cord that runs under her bed to mount at the foot of her bed and spread the stars over most of her ceiling in her large room. It has 3 buttons, A toggles the white stars on and off, B changes them from different combinations of red, blue and green stars and slowly blinking stars, C gives you the option to rotate all the stars slowly. It makes faint groaning rubbing noises from time to time, but it's still worked flawlessly every night for the past 45 days and we're usually able to fall asleep before the moaning noises bother us. It's very light so we had to use sticky foam to attach it to the bed frame because it falls off so easily. I would still buy it again because it makes bedtime so much more comfortable for my daughter and therefore me.
