I like it! A few friends have recommended weighted blankets to me in the past, but I haven't touched them yet. What an experience! It's hard to describe. The best I can explain is that it's oddly comforting. The outer coating has a "warm" and a "cold" side. Nothing magical, but on bare skin the 'warm' side is soft/fluffy and feels warmer, while the 'cool' side is smooth and a synthetic blend keeps it cool to the touch. I can not complain! Like all fabric items I bought, I washed them before use. In this case I washed the outer cover before using the duvet. Undoing and reattaching the ties inside to release the weighted inner blanket was easy (don't accidentally put the weighted part in the washing machine. It's heavy and can throw things off balance!). The leaflet basically describes how to detach the inner and outer parts, but just pay attention to how the lid was attached to the weighted interior as you detach each of the attachment points. My only complaint was with the ties. I wish there were more of these on all four edges. Nothing sags on the inside, but you have to be careful how you pick up the edges to ensure you have a secure grip on the weighted inside through the outer layer. Not a deal breaker, not even a standout deduction. you will quickly get used to it. Whether you use it as a blanket in your car or on your chair or sleep in it, this Life Comfort weighted blanket will add a whole new dimension to your relaxation. It definitely fits into the "if you know, you know!" category. And at 15 pounds, it's a good introduction to weighted blankets (heavier weights are available, but several sources have suggested 15 pounds as a good starting point for those with no prior experience). 10 out of 10, highly recommended!
