Review on Tamron 35 150Mm 2 8 4 Lens Canon by Heather Rheault

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Excellent glass but not very durable.

I was very surprised by the quality of the glass, which makes beautiful portraits even in low light conditions. The main issue I have is the build quality. The front lens assembly, which also has a bayonet mount, is held in place by three plastic feet. I didn't realize until I used the lens during function that 2 of the 3 legs of the assembly were broken; probably due to the tension of the built-in hood. I'd say it's a great lens for the hobbyist or those who don't shoot too much portraiture. Still, it's a quality kit for the price, but it's not really a serious professional lens.

Pros
  • Handy
Cons
  • Infinitely slow
