If my monitor had mounting points I wouldn't need it. Not wanting to waste my current monitors (I have two in poor condition) I used these mounts. They work. My monitors are attached to my wall with standard mounting brackets, where they will most likely stay until they burn out. However, they are unstable with my wall mount system and are hardly balanced by the extra weight of this mount. I am tempted to hang a large ocean style plumb bob in the center of this mount to keep the monitor from twisting. The problem is that the center of gravity isn't in the middle of my wall mount, it's at the bottom of this adapter. Because of this leverage, any movement of the monitor on my mount becomes a problem.
