Thought I would like this for my build but it didn't end up happening. My plan was to slot it into the wood of the desktop and use a router to leave 1/8 inch wood between the charger and the table top. Then put a second board underneath for a nice thick desk with no visible cords or holes. However, it didn't work out in the end and now I have a useless charger in my desk. At least it's hidden. I've tried using stronger charging adapters but I can't get the charge through the tree. I tested it with paper beforehand to see how thick it can charge and it worked well. Hopefully I can get it working someday, but opening a tree is out of the question. Although I can see through the hole for the cord that it's flush at the top as well. Everyone and everyone is not happy. I did regret a little that I hadn't used a regular wireless charger. I just didn't want the USB cable to come off.
