These little buckets may not be nearly as good as dehumidifiers, but they work! I have a few of these in an unfinished basement. Although the air is not humid, there is probably some moisture in the air; If only from the dryer. Without these buckets, over time I see white mold growing in some nooks and crannies and on the things stored there. Everything stays pretty good with them - not 100%, but pretty close. I also use several versions of the bags in the car that is in storage and they really make a huge difference to what it was without them.
