Very good very good

I recently bought another pair of these headphones after my first pair died after about 4 years of faithful service. Xbox 360 Headset I was looking for something inexpensive but with quality sound and a decent microphone. X12 scored all 3 points and the rest is history. Initially I had problems with the reverse chat cable and had to send in a replacement, but that didn't really matter. Every time I have had to contact them, Turtle Beach's customer service has been amazing. Later I became more interested in computer games and Harold became a computer headset. The transition was smooth. This X12 is pretty durable. Of course it will break if you step on it or drop it a few times, but Harold survived a very messy divorce, 6 turns (including 3 over 800 miles off-road) and probably about 500 falls. (Mostly on carpet.) Harold met his final death because of my habit of removing an earcup from my ear to listen to the world around me, which over time strained the headband and eventually broke in several places. So yes. Do not do that. I bought some x12's for other people as gifts including my friend who he worked with for 2 years with no problems. I used this new pair for a pair. weeks now and so far so good. While I pocketed a little more this time, I still chose the X12 for the familiarity. I've tried other headsets here and there (including the Razer Kraken headset my ex kept talking about) and I wasn't even remotely impressed. I definitely recommend this headset if you're new to turtle beach and/or if you want decent quality that won't break the bank.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
