Review on SuperSonic Widescreen Compatible Built 24 Inch by Carlos Deuschle

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The 24-inch LED HDTV is perfect for our 23-foot off-grid Holiday Rambler. but adjustments are needed. UPDATED!

This is an LED-backlit HDTV for less than $200! I'm amazed that for this price I could get such a great picture, DVD player and 12 volts for a caravan. I mounted it on a ceiling hinge so we could see it from our bedroom or living room and it would hook up to our stereo for much better sound quality. The 12 volt capability is what I was looking for and was actually considering installing a 14 inch TV for an SUV, but when I found this (even cheaper than I could fit it) I had to have it . It's small enough for a trailer and big enough for us to see clearly from both ends of the trailer. I'm still building a trailer but included it for wiring and testing purposes. (need to know where the plugs go, had to reinforce mounting surface to hold them) Cons: It's an LED so viewing angle is important. You have to tilt it for a better view (it's covered by a swivel/tilt/foldable ceiling mount). The speakers are small and don't get loud enough to be heard (I have a stereo in the process of being installed that has line-in capabilities for just that type of installation) During installation I found that the screw holes on the back ( z assembly) very small. I can shorten the screws so I don't mind, but the screws that come with the mount are too long for it. They should be 8mm or 5/16" long. Easy fix for me. For RV lovers: This TV generally uses very little power! In our 23 meter Rambler Holiday it's a big screen! You need a 12v Place socket next to it and be prepared to also plug in a 3.5mm speaker out cable so you can connect it to your sound system. I can hear it as it's on the air conditioner but barely. I will do so over time update. Stay tuned! Well after 6 months of use in our camper (as we are still working on it) I am very happy with it. We had some really big storms and we had a lightning strike. I thought, the tv was fried as we no longer had a nice, clear and clean picture. After a little research I found that the mains cable and the antenna cable were burned. I replaced both and we're back and we have a great picture. However, there is a problem; sometimes the image appears pixelated and frozen. It's easy to fix by changing channels and going back, but it's still annoying. If I need to buy another one, I'll still buy the same one! It's easy to fix by changing channels and going back, but it's still annoying. If I need to buy another one, I'll still buy the same one!
