At first I was very concerned when I saw the box it was sent in, with no protective pads or anything, I was sure it would be damaged. But somehow it works! Second, I've noticed people complain about the "fogged" look of plexiglass, it's a protective film that prevents it from being scratched. It just comes off on either side. There was just a small defect on the frame where the paint or sealant or whatever has broken (can be seen up close in the photos), you can't tell when it's on the wall so I don't worry about that To care. It's a cheap dollar shop frame quality frame (even if they have real glass) but it works and doesn't look cheap. The photo I used was 11 x 14 inches so I could swim with the mat a bit. Overall I'm happy with my purchase, although I was skeptical based on the reviews. This was very important to me as this portrait of my friend who had just died of very aggressive cancer was a gift from his very good friend and meant a lot to me. Now he can take care of our bed and I can see his peaceful face whenever I want ❤
