Mostly great except for one annoyance

Overall, I have to say I'm very impressed with this monitor, even considering the price. I personally think the design is superb and Dell always does a great job with their monitor stands. The bracket consists of just two pieces with a thumbscrew that attaches to the bottom of the stand, allowing for easy installation and a secure hold of the monitor. The picture quality is second to none. Also excellent sheet uniformity. This is without a doubt the best computer monitor I have ever had the privilege of using. The 1440p vertical resolution is adequate and sharp enough for the pixel structure of this particular QD-OLED. The most impressive aspect of the display is the color reproduction and infinite contrast ratio since it's OLED. In addition, each panel is factory calibrated and comes with a printed sheet with the exact specifications of the display you received. mode as well as the ambient light sensor are enabled by default to reduce power consumption, which annoys me about this monitor. Since this monitor is an OLED with decent brightness and HDR capability, the panel will draw power. Obviously, things get hot enough to require an active cooling unit on the back in the form of a heatsink and fan. This fan annoys me because it always works. Not only is it a moving part and a potential source of error, but it's also not a very quiet operation. Even though I have a gaming PC next to me (idle), I still hear the monitor's fan humming up and down oddly every now and then. The fan curve of the built-in fan can certainly be improved, but it looks like Dell will not make any changes with a firmware update. Market works almost silently and makes itself felt even in a large room where there is a computer nearby. Tl;dr Excellent panel. great color Good brightness. The monitor has a fan that makes a constant whirring noise and can speed up and down from time to time. Not a deal breaker, but be careful.
