Bought to play Chromecasts on my deck's speakers. As mentioned, when used with a Chromecast, this device produces a faint ringing sound in the speakers every 30 seconds. I tried it with two different generations of Chromecast and got the same result. I also tried them with a new amp I bought that has an HDMI input and I didn't have the same problem so the problem is definitely with this unit. I have an amp and an equalizer. This device was the culprit again. For some reason it acts as a high pass filter and when I stopped using it and plugged my Chromecast directly into my new amp the sound quality improved significantly.
