I ordered this thinking it would be useful for a lab session I was doing with Zoom. A view has multiple cameras (microscope, external camera, etc.). It certainly does the job and makes it smooth, but in the end I found it easier to just log into Zoom from three different devices (laptop, desktop, phone) and attach another copy of me to the viewers. In single-camera mode, however, the device performs just as well as an HDMI capture card. It's easy to select it as a video source in Zoom or other software. Unlike some small grip buttons I've tried, this one doesn't get hot with prolonged use. This is a real plus. It's also nice that you can have multiple sources and switch between them. The remote control is intuitive to use.
