Installation There are no installation instructions in the packaging, but an Internet address for an installation video (minus asterisk). The installation of the protection is the same as any other glass protection. This kit came with a guide that was actually very comfortable and surprisingly tight. I took my time cleaning and didn't hold back any dust under the tread. I was initially skeptical about the cardboard scraper but was pleased that one end was covered with a microfiber cloth. It was something other screen protector kits lacked, and more than a base card scored screen protectors from other kits. I caught a large air bubble under the tread but was very pleased that it was squeezed out. I set this up in a dimly lit room and used a flashlight to spot any dust in the cleaning step and tiny air bubbles in that step. I carefully worked on about a dozen tiny bubbles around the edges of the screen. I was able to get a perfect bubble free setup with a little care. It was definitely worth having this fabric covered scraper on hand. Plus one star. Cons Many Pixel 3 XL screen protector reviews of all screen protectors state that the gently curved edges of the phone create air bubbles on the sides. I only had a very small edge that refused to stick, but the area is so small and doesn't bother. This area is also not optically visible. While it definitely exceeded my expectations, there is one major downside. The protective film does not cover the entire illuminated area of the screen. It's about 0.5mm on the left and right edges, which means I can clearly see the edges of the tread. It absolutely messes with the phone and my OCDC is screaming to pick it up. This desire is tempered by my desire to protect the screen. I wondered if that big flashlight might have been intentional. I think if it covered the entire screen to the edge then air bubbles would form along that 0.5mm which would actually be more disgusting. I use the Spigen Ultra Hybrid S case and I love it! This protection does not touch the case, but there is approximately 1.5 mm of uncoated glass between the side wall of the case and the edge of the screen. This may have been done to prevent blistering around the edges, which is why I refuse to dock it from the start, be aware. I'm amazed that this seemingly sophisticated screen protector has mismatched creases around the notch. The curves differ significantly in radius from the notched curves. One star off for this big mistake. Feel and Use This screen protector looks exactly like the Pixel 3 XL screen, doesn't distort the image and seems to do the job of protecting my screen. I would buy another LK screen kit again, although I might experiment to find one with a more thoughtful cutout.
