Review on J-Tech Digital Wireless HDMI Dongle Kit: 1080p 100' Range with IR Passthrough by Walter Velasquez

The device was great when it worked at the beginning. However, after a few months of use, the mini-USB power connector on the wireless transmitter failed. After opening the case, it turned out that the mini-USB power connector helps with a couple of soldering points and does not withstand the stress of repeated use. I contacted J-Tech and they said they updated the design with a more reliable connection and I replaced my device with a new one. However, after a month of use, the new one broke again. When I opened the case, it turned out that the connection is no stronger than in the original design. This is the same design as similar products that have encountered the same error. I do not recommend those wireless HDMI transmitters that require power from the mini USB port.
