These socket cover night lights are a great idea, but they don't work. At least most of the time. Snap-in contacts are extremely sensitive to the EXACT configuration of your 115VAC outlets installed in their box - if your original electrician was in a rush, if there was paint splatter on the contact screws etc. the contacts will not seat properly and this device WILL NOT WORK. This has happened in 4 of the 5 places I've tried using them so far. In fact, the "Troubleshooting Guide" describes 7 different ways contacts can become "blocked" and therefore not working. The recommended solution for each type of obstruction ends with "Contact your local electrician". On a Saturday when I have free time I'll turn off the power and try to fix each of my troublesome outlets and get these little crooks working. Until then, paint me...disappointed.10/19/2019 - After my first review, I had the opportunity to continue working on it. Using sandpaper I was able to scrape off the excess spray on the contact pins, enough for the new snap caps to make electrical contact. So, after some effort, they are working now! Upgrade to 2 stars!
