I've read some of the other reviews on this product and I have to say that XM radio reception with almost any device is difficult at best indoors. If you really need home reception, get a home kit, install the antenna near a south (or street) facing window and enjoy. This product is designed for a very specific use of the XM radio - outdoors. Ideal for this purpose when you have no background noise (e.g. lawnmowers) or a busy highway. I have my XM for MLB and I go out every night and listen to late games on the west coast. Thanks to this device, I have enjoyed baseball more than I have in many years. I love it so much I will be buying a second or maybe a third battery because I want to use it while I have my current XM receiver. Keep in mind that this is for a very specific use and works fine for that purpose.
