Fits an average man's hand (3 fingers in a large pen) - cuts well!
The handles of some new shears are not large enough to comfortably fit in a person's fingers/hand. This accommodates 3 fingers on the large handle (and a large thumb on the smaller handle), at least "medium" sized fingers/hands. One finger (either the index finger or the smallest) will be outside, but that's perfectly practical. Oh, and it cuts well! At least for the last few months of light office work. I haven't tried to "abuse" it (cutting thick/hard objects like flower stems, although I think that would work - just not sure for how long).
