So much beauty in one small package!

I really didn't expect this little device to be so good. And that's coming from someone who owns just about every similar DIY kit, including a half-dozen 3D printers, a CNC router, and a vinyl cutter. The only thing missing was a laser engraver. I've considered buying one of the many desktop laser engravers based on the 3018 build model, but they didn't impress me given their limitations. Fast forward about a month ago when I started seeing ads for the LaserPecker L1 and L1 on social media. Pro… a small laser engraver the size of an aerosol paint can. After watching a few videos, I bought one as it looked like a good addition to my business. And I wasn't wrong! This little device is powerful, versatile and easy to use. So let me break it all down: the $300 price tag seems a bit pricey compared to alternatives. You can buy any of the many other unnamed laser engravers on the market for a fraction of the price. However, you need to put them together, calibrate them, download them, and learn third-party software, and the list goes on. For those who are looking for a laser engraver that can be used out of the box without the headaches, the LaserPecker line is the best solution. EASY TO USE Is it easy to use? Oh that's right! Right out of the box I tested it for 20 minutes. plug it in mount it on the included mini tripod, line it up with the included ruler and use the app on your phone to start engraving. It does not need to be connected to a computer. It connects to any phone or tablet via Bluetooth. It's also absolutely silent! SOFTWARELaserPecker uses its own application that you can download to your phone or tablet. You'll need to set up an account before you can use it, but it only takes a few minutes. The interface is clean and to the point. Select the file you want to print, choose the size (in millimeters), use the preview to align the material, then just click start! . Too close or too far you will get poor results - HAVE THE PROPER VENTILATION: This is the laser that burns through what you are engraving. You really don't want to breathe those fumes.- PUT ON YOUR GLASSES: When the engraving process begins, put on your glasses! The reflection of the laser can also damage the eyes. This is not a toy! Also, I would suggest using a small fan to blow over the material when engraving. The smoke from the engraving process can ruin the accuracy of the laser and ruin the print/engrave. Otherwise, this little device is great! Being so mobile is a big advantage over other laser engravers. I will continue to use my L1 and will update this review if anything changes.
