Small hole for a needle.
When quilting on the Janome MC6500, sometimes the upper thread gets caught in the bobbin area, causing the thread to break. Since I've been using this single needle plate, the problem has been solved. No more thread jams in the bobbin area and no more thread breaks. A needle plate solved the problem.
