This comforter isn't perfect, and for $50 you can't expect anything less. However, it is very cozy and warm. The mids and bottoms get hotter than the sides, which is odd but not necessarily a nuisance to me. I get overheated after a while, so the variety of temperatures is actually nice, although I don't think that's how it's supposed to work. It also heats up without turning on if left under another blanket. I turn it off to avoid this problem, but it seems sketchy. The label says not to be placed under other blankets, so here it is. Color and size are correct. Overall I like it because I used a gift card and because it's very soft and snuggly. But he certainly has some problems.
