I was also looking for a cheaper alternative to the popular wire cloths I use when I need to clean things. I found them by accident while looking for face mask filter alternatives. It seems to work for that too. It is breathable in a semi-folded gaiter or cloth mask, although I know nothing of its effectiveness, if any, against this current CV load. But I think it's better than a coffee filter or nothing! and it can be washed. . However, I am most impressed because of my original purpose of purchase - in the kitchen. I cut the sheet into small squares the size of a palm. and since it's easy to wash and clean I use 1 or 2 a day. I think you have even more time depending on the year of use. I wash them and hang them on a clip to dry. It cleans my dishes/sink/countertops very well. It is thin yet durable with smooth side and textured side. . I can use my ez dish soap of choice over the blue dirt on the wire and no surprises from rust stains if I forget it on the sink/counter!. *Note: This is not a washcloth - it will not absorb spills etc - it is just a washcloth. i hv corelle utensils, glassware and stainless steel utensils and no scratches! .(Works well with glass pet (fish/chameleon) containers too! . I look forward to using this to clean the bathroom where I will dispose of it after each use.
