I bought this because the other two types of plungers I had couldn't unclog like my 3 year old. This is an odd design and more difficult to use than standard pistons. But in less than 10 minutes the toilet was working freely after spending 45 minutes to 1 hour with another type of plunger. Saved me from paying a plumber or taking the toilet off myself (I hate doing that). This seems like an odd way to sink it and you need to make sure all the valves in the toilet are no longer visible. highlighted.
