I bought these solar lanterns to hang by my door on my covered porch, out of direct sunlight or rain. I can run the solar pack to the brim and get full afternoon sun. Charging works well and the lights work from sunset until at least well past midnight when I go to bed. The only problem is that some lightbulbs stop working after a few weeks, even when hanging intact. How is that possible? I could understand moving them around a lot or putting them outside in inclement weather, but hanging them on a covered porch? I have battery operated wreath lights on the same door and they have no problem. I wonder how many will still be lit by the end of the holidays. Did I get a messy strand or is this the quality we should expect?
