My dog is a red healer and weighs 52 pounds. He recently had surgery and this collar works well but definitely not as effective as the Cone of Shame. He figured out how to turn it over by shaking his whole body so the hole was under his chin. This allowed him to get to the surgical site. But during the day, as long as I'm with him and he's (unfortunately) sedated, it works very well. In fact, I take it off him when he eats so he can rest. I wish I could figure out how to tighten it so it doesn't rotate, but of course I don't want to choke it either. That's why I only had to give 3 stars. The measurements for the large size corresponded to the size of my dog's neck.
