Review on 🍲 5L / 1.3 Gallon Seeutek Fermentation Crock Jar - Stoneware Pot for Fermenting, Pickling Kimchi, Pickles, Vegetables, Kombucha - Glazed Fermenter with Stone Weights, Lid & Pickle Tamper by Darrell Ricks

Revainrating 3 out of 5

However, it is a good shard size.

Good pot for small portions (1 medium cabbage). What I don't like is that the water channel that forms the lock is narrow and shallow. Filled to the top, it hardly closes the openings in the lid, so air can pass through with little evaporation. So you'll need to check and top up daily, especially if you're fermenting in a jug where it's warmer. If you have a basement or somewhere else the temp is around 65, no problem, but many don't have that luxury, especially when spring arrives. Will it work, yes, but a gallon can with an inexpensive water seal will work too.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging
