Review on Metra 44-US13: Top Performing Side Mount Replacement Antenna for AM/FM Bands by Mike Campbell

Not fun to install the mounting system securely. After the whole thing was firmly fixed on the silicone sealing bead, water was still dripping from the core onto my headliner. Not from the black gasket but from the core where the wire comes out. To make matters worse, within 3 weeks I had rust on the spring and adjusting screw. Stunned that it wasn't a stainless steel screw and at least a coated or non-corroded spring. Looks terrible now. Although the reception is perfect. Not bad if you want to replace a bad fender antenna with a rusty bucket you don't mind a rusty antenna. Not recommended for rooftop installation.
