So I bought this 6 months. First, they are somewhat thin and light. If you're shooting outdoors, use sandbags or something to weigh them down because once you open the umbrellas, the wind easily knocks them over. Overall, they're decent, especially for beginners, and you can't beat the price. I had a problem recently. I was able to decide because I know the basics of electronics. but somehow out of the blue one of my lamps stopped working. one day it worked, the next not. So I did a lot of troubleshooting. In short, I had to disassemble the lamp and found that the connection cable no longer worked. The ends of the wire that connects to the bulb socket are wrapped in a brass yoke, usually such things are tinned with solder. but for some reason one wire just stopped conducting current and the other worked fine. great confusion. After about 2 hours of troubleshooting, repairing, and another half hour of painstaking assembly (and lots of swearing), I got it working again. su As cheap as they were, I kept thinking about buying another lamp. but no, I have to save a dollar. So if you're good with tools and understand the basics of electronics, cool. If not, you can replace them sooner rather than later.
