It took me 5 stools to make 4 stools. I've had pieces where the holes weren't drilled all the way into the wood, the holes that should have been in the middle of the leg were drilled off-centre, etc. The two backs were almost impossible to attach, probably took 15 to to 20 each Minutes back, and on the other two backs - 2 minutes. The wood can also be cherry, but the color is brown, not the reddish brown that cherry is usually. I have cherry wood cabinets and my previous stools were cherry wood, they all have a nice reddish brown finish, these stools have a brown finish.
