This is my third pair of these gloves. They offer a light support when knitting or doing other activities that put a strain on my arm muscles, especially around my thumb. The first pair is worn out; the fabric between the fingers could not stand it. But to be honest I had them and often wore them for at least six months or more before that happened. Wearing them longer also makes them lose some of their tightness. But in general they do their job well, especially when you don't need a supportive glove that goes over your fingers. I machine wash them in a mesh bag when they get dirty.
