I recently bought a new monopod for my DSLR and it came with a cheap smartphone clip. I've never thought about them before, but now that I've played around with one I can see how useful they can be. Unlike my first clip, this one is made from solid machined aluminum and feels just as solid as the cheap ones. It has 3 different 1/4" thread mounting points and two different cold shoe mounting points for accessories. The cold shoe mount on the top rotates 360 degrees, which is very helpful in lighting around a triggering of the side buttons on your phone.A nice bonus is the fold out pole that allows you to mount an Arca-Swiss tripod mount and doubles as a stabilizing leg for standalone use.mount but I use my phone for all my reviews.
