This is a solid unit for the price. Don't get me wrong, there are much better rigs out there, but for less than $200 this is a steal. The structure of the drill is plastic composite, durable and quite durable. Comes with a variety of small attachments and can be assembled to best fit your camera. I wouldn't recommend this for a Sony or mirrorless camera as the cage size is just too big. Works great with most Canon lines and is fairly well balanced right to left. The mounting plate is fairly cheap and has room to wobble even when tightened. Not much, but can sometimes cause the focus puller gear to slip. I will be replacing my mounting plate with a Manfrotto metal construction plate. The knobs are sturdy but unscrew fairly easily, which can cause problems if you're trying to get a smooth shot in an awkward spot where you need to apply rotational force to the knob. The top handle makes mounting the monitor difficult, so be sure to use a bracket that lifts the monitor over the top handle. Also, buy a real hot shoe mount, the one that comes with it is rubbish. Some reviews said the rig's design compresses the rails, making it difficult for the bits to slide. That's true, but it's not a big problem, just loosen the rail fasteners and gently slide the rails apart. Most attachments slide without problems.
