I bought this heatsink a month ago and installed it with no problems. Within a month I was unimpressed with the cooling performance of the radiator. My Samsung EVO Plus 1TB runs consistently hot (55-60 degrees with moderate usage). So I decided to order an active cooler (radiator with fan) and installed it today. When I logged into my system to remove the SSD (with that heatsink) I saw that all three rubber bands had snapped. All three fell apart - they were hard and had no elasticity. This explains why the heatsink wasn't working properly - it wasn't pressed firmly against the SSD. Apparently the heat generated by the SSD ruined the rubber bands after just a month. Carefully. I would advise you to get an active (electric fan) cooler. I got this and it works fine: https://www.amazon.com/Aluminum-Heatsinks-Powerful-Cooling-Cooler/dp/B07L33Y28V/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=Aluminum+M.2+ 2280+ SSD +cooler+c+20mm+fan+powerful+cooling+for+PCIE+NVME+or+SATA+M.2+SSD+cooler&qid=1595032344&sr=8-1
