I ordered a size 26 and I usually wear size 6 jeans. They fit well but personally I would have preferred a tighter and more supportive fit - you can order 1-2 sizes smaller. For reference, my waist is 28 inches at its smallest point (around my belly button) and 38 inches at its widest point (around my hips/buttocks). The grip is too much for riding, I felt the silicone stick to the saddle when posting and lower the crotch of the pants a little. I wore a belt. The material is nice and thick, suitable for summer and I suspect it will be cozy enough for fall. I just wish they had a higher Lycra percentage for more support. They are comfortable and easy to care for, definitely suitable for studying. They look gorgeous, especially belted and tucked into a shirt. I have a dark blue, the color is excellent.
