Review on ACDelco 24251229 Equipment Automatic Transmission by Mandela Buycks

2009 Cadillac transmission Cadillac 2009 Output shaft to transfer case Input shaft failed due to sheared splines! This breakdown put my daughter in a dilemma on the road, because as soon as the gearing fails, the car stops moving - the engine revs, but there is no power at the driveshaft. The transfer case also failed due to the metal shavings! Had to get a new transfer case and not trust getting a used part from a junkyard (they will probably fail too). This is a faulty design for 2008-2009 CTS AWD models. - It has been fixed for 2010+ models, but the revised design uses o-rings to prevent water/salt corrosion of these shafts and more splines (therefore transmission output shaft and transfer case input shaft are not interchangeable). This redesigned transmission output shaft was needed to replace the transfer case with a redesigned input shaft. This part is the correct new design and mates with the new transfer case. 2 O-rings P/N 24251228 are also required. It took a lot of work to fix this faulty design but in the end the car is running fine now!
