Review on Effortless Control: Westinghouse Lighting 7787500 Wireless Ceiling Fan and Light Wall Control by Michelle Taylor

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Hooray! no more remote control!

The original control that came with my fan was a remote control and ran on a AAAA battery. Pooh. And of course, this thing loved to keep the LED on when you even looked at it, so it's no wonder the battery died really quickly. The only saving grace was that the fan was still connected to the switch, so we could flip the switch and turn on the light. But. There's no fan, which is especially nice when you need air circulation. I finally got fed up - I scoured the internet, found what I needed to have a wired fan controller and that was it! It's still a remote control, but it replaces a wall switch and doesn't require an AAAA battery. Installation took 5 minutes - remove the switch cover, pull out the old switch, disconnect the wires, connect the wires to the new switch, insert the new switch, install the new cover that comes with the switch was delivered. If you are familiar with electrical switches, you will succeed. Just be sure to set the code to match the code on your fan. Highly recommend if you're trying to get rid of the remote like I did.
